Review of Bushman's Rock
Bushman's Rock really makes for the greatest corporate year-end venue. We have had several functions at Bushman's Rock, and it always turned out great. Our favorite spot at Bushman's Rock is the Boma river lapa. A huge green lawn surrounds the boma, and is the perfect spot for a fun game of volleyball, and other team-building fun and games.
The Moreletta river running next to the venue really gives you the feeling that you have left the hustle and bustle of the city, a very relaxing experience!
We also had the opportunity of dining in the restaurant a few times. Although the food is of excellent quality and very tasty, the organization in the restaurant is really lacking. Even with a booking we made a few days before, our table was not reserved, nor where there any table available for us at all. The manager and staff had to run around to find us a table. I must add, in their defense, that the restaurant is extremely popular, especially on Sundays.
If you are planning on dining at Bushman's Rock, I would strongly suggest that you phone a few days beforehand to make a booking, and then arrive at latest 11h30 at the restaurant. By that time the restaurant will most likely already be quite full, but you will have a better chance of getting seating.
But, the organization of the restaurant aside, Bushman's Rock is a fantastic venue, and makes for some great fun and memories.
