Review of the Lion and Rhino Nature Reserve
What an excellent day trip this turned out to be! We arrived fairly early, and visited the Wonder Caves first, after which we witnessed the feeding of the lions, wild dogs, and cheetah. This was truly something to behold.
Back at "basecamp", we had a quick swim in the swimming pool before attending the snake demonstration and cheetah run, where a cheetah is allowed to run free on the lawn chasing a small mouse-like contraption attached to a horizontal pulley.
The cubs where a treat as well. Beware though, the baby lions in this park like to play, but their teeth tends to get in the way!
By now, too tired to braai (there were braai facilities available as well), we grabbed a quick bite in the restaurant overlooking the small hippo pond, and then it was home-time, tired, but very very happy.
